For the activities of MCAA
Sonce and the ways of their realization
in the year of 2006

According to article 19, paragraph 2 from the Statute of
MCAA Sonce, the president of the association, at the meeting
on 11.01.2006 has put forward for voting, and the Executive
Committee (EC) has accepted the following Annual Programme.
ANNUAL PROGRAMME
about the activities of
MCAA Sonce and the ways of their realization
in the year of 2006
I. TYPES OF
ACTIVITIES
In 2006 MCCA Sonce has the intention to present the cultural values
of the Macedonian folklore to the public in Great Britain.
According to the Statute also
will be actively involved in the improvement and supporting
of the cultural-entertaining activities of the
Macedonian immigration in England. One of the main operation
goals of the Association is establishing a Programme of folk
dances and songs in duration of 55 minutes. It will be for
humanitarian, promotional and commercial purposes. The
Programme is presented as an amendment to the Annual
Programme.
1. Dance Choreography
Establishing 4 famous dances from the Macedonian folklore:
- Povardarie
- Egejski
- Sedenka
- Barenska Humoreska
Because
of the current circumstances,
meetings of the dance group are planned twice a month in
order to learn the steps and practice the folk dances. The
Executive Committee will have its meetings at least once a
month to make sure the group has all the necessary means to
fulfill the planned activities from the Programme. The
President of the association, taking into consideration the
available capacity of people and finance, has suggested the
following schedule to the Executive Committee:
- Sonce performing 28th January 2006 at
" Serbian Church, for Sv. Sava
celebration "

Making new Costumes for the Choreography Povardarie, till 01
July
- Until end of April, 2006 to learn the folk dance
Sedenka,
that will last 12 minutes and 04 seconds.
- Sonce performing on
the Langoland festival in Wels from 4th of July till 9th
July
- The
following month (June) to continue
learning the other dance known as Povardarie. It is assumed
that the group will manage to learn and perform it well by
the end of August and it is supposed to be 12 minutes and 25
second long. On 17 of November, for its second
birthday, the Association has the intention to stage a
concert in London, where the members of the dance group in
front of the public will perform all dances. The Concert will be
recorded and presented on the official web site of the
Association, for better affirmation in UK and other
countries where the traditional Macedonian folk dance is
nourished and actively performed.
- The dances Osogovka and Tresenica is planned for
the period between September and December 2006 and will last
8 minutes and 14 seconds, 8 minutes.
2. Musical Activities
The music group in the Association plans to start with its
activities from the middle of July. Its activities are
grouped in two categories:
- The first purpose is to be involved in the programme of
the duration of 15 minutes. That would consist of 3 songs
each 3 minutes long and two instrumental dances, each
lasting 2.5 minutes. The Leader of the music group suggests
the content, and it is discussed and accepted by the
Executive Committee.
- The second purpose is to prepare its own Programme of
Macedonian traditional folk songs of the duration of 30
minutes that will be performed by the members of MCAA Sonce.
After a certain period of time it is planned these songs
will be recorded on to CD and available to the public.
The President of the Association has suggested the following
schedule to the Executive Committee:
The first part of the Programme (15 minutes long) to be part
of the concert in Regents Park. London, and the second part
of the programme (30 minutes) to be practiced and prepared
by the end of September 2006.
II. NECESSARY FINANCIAL
MEANS
For
realization of the activities in the Programme for 2005 we
will need a budget of £5,000:
- £2,400
for rent for the practice room.
- £1,500
for instruments and traditional dance clothes
- £450
for the music group activities
- £500
for choreography services
- £800
marketing of the association
III.
WAYS OF FINANCING
1. According to the Statute of the Association every
member will be required to pay a monthly membership fee of
£5. The estimated number of members is 50. According to the
calculations the total amount gathered from the membership
fee is £3000 per year.
2. In order to increase the number of activities in
the Association, there is going to be active politics for
attracting more members and sponsorship that would finance
certain projects and activities planned in the Annual
Programme. The Association will sign an agreement with its
sponsors and for this year it is estimated to receive £
1,000.

In the framework of its activities the Association does not
exclude the possibility of commercial activities and
presentations to improve its financial position as to
increase the quality of the programme by including more folk
dances. The income from such activities is expected to be £
1,000.
IV. FINAL PROVISIONS

This Programme was put into force from the first day of its
adoption and approval by the Executive Committee.
